Since the new launcher was released I can’t just double click a project and have it open. It asks me to pick the program to open this file.
I can open it via launch “version” and then pick the project.

Hi Zedrophobe,
I just tested this internally and I couldn’t reproduce what you are seeing. You are just double-clicking a project from the Library tab in the Launcher, correct?
Yes, I have 2 drives could it be that the project is saved on the HDD when the software is on the SSD, if so what location do I give it to run the project?
We have a lot of users that use the engine on a SSD and keep the project files on another drive. That shouldn’t cause any issues like you are experiencing.
It sounds like some references were lost. Were the .uprojects in question created with an older version of UE4?
Regardless, you should be able to choose ‘Unreal Engine’ if it asks you which program to use (file path below). Once you do and the project loads in the engine, close it and let me know if it opens correctly from the Launcher afterwards.
C:\Program Files\Unreal Engine\4.7\Engine\Binaries\Win64\UE4Editor.exe
The file was newly created, I’ve sent the target as mentioned, but I have to select which program to run everytime still. Even when I click “use the program for all files of this type”.
I believe it may have something to do with the addition I’ve had to make to get the launch to run (advised by one of your colleagues) -http=wininet. As when I set the file location the first time it came up with the error no version found and closed the launcher.
Its not an issue at the moment, I will be moving the launch to my HDD when the connection problem has been resolved.
