Can't mark new engine version compatibility on an asset without a link to files on external site

Unreal Engine updates often. In the previous Marketplace www site, we could just mark our released assets as compatible with a new version of the engine and click “Save”, and that was it.

On FAB this can be done only as a regular pack update - along with all the files.

It requires me to have a live link to the files on an external site. Otherwise, it won’t let me click “Confirm”. See - I don’t want to actually update the files. I just want to mark my asset as compatible with the new version of the engine, so buyers are allowed to add them to their project.

I have a lot of assets and they take many gigabytes. I don’t keep them on my google drive. I can’t upload them all at once to my google drive either. Too little space. I would have to upload it one by one and wait for approval for each time, or spend money on some cloud storage service just for this purpose. It is completly unnecessary.

Adding an option to just mark the packs compatibility without providing links to packs is needed - and a top priority, I think.

UPDATE:

I entered a “bogus” link, something like “www.NotAContentUpdateJustMarking55Comaptibility.org” and submitted the packs for a review. Wrote in the release notes that it is not a content update, and just wanted to mark the 5.5 compatibility.

Some assets were rejected (by a human who ignored my notes) due to the wrong link to the content. Some were accepted (probably by some other human who understood my notes).

Obviously FAB is not prepared for this, it needs to be sorted out please.
