Can't launch unreal engine

I’ve installed the epic games launcher, and downloaded the unreal engine but when I click the yellow button to launch it just says “please wait” several times and then nothing happens.

I’m using a Macbook Pro with OS X 10.10.3, 8GB of ram and an Intel Core i5 if that helps.

Any help would be appreciated, would really love to use this!

In order to help you resolve this, please provide your Mac’s specs. You can find this in the Apple menu >About This Mac>More Info> Add the information from this window (serial # not necessary).

Also, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Restart your Mac and retry launching UE4.12.5
  2. Navigate to the install folder and double click on editor.exe (Note error messages, if any)
  3. Uninstall UE4.12.5 and retry
  4. Try an earlier version of the engine (UE4.10 or UE4.11)

Please respond with requested info and results from the troubleshooting steps.

Minimum software requirement for 4.12 is listed as OS X 10.10.5. Run your software updates!!!
