I’m trying to install Unreal Engine on a Mac that I borrowed from work so I can do a project here. I have it installed on the domain on my work account, but I have a personal account added so I can work from home. (Confusing, sorry.) But when I went to install it, it stopped after a second or two and grayed out the install button and said Not Installed. Is there anything that can fix this?
Hi kgib87,
Try my answer in this post. You may need to delete the folder structure that it started installing before you can try again.
If that doesn’t work, please take a look at this section of the troubleshooting guide and try the suggestions there.
If the issue still isn’t resolved then we will need a copy of your System Specs and Debug Logs. You can follow the steps towards the bottom of that second link to generate your debug logs.
I followed the steps but the same error came up every time.
Also, I tried installing previous versions (4.6.1) and it just gets queued. I let it sit for hours and it still just says queued. I really need to get this on here as soon as possible.
Don’t forget to post your system specs as well. From your logs it looks like you are on a Mac but just in case here is how to find them on both.
Windows: Go to the Start menu and type ‘dxdiag’ into the search bar. Open that file and then click ‘Save All Information’. Post that text file here.
Mac: Go to the Apple menu and click ‘About This Mac’.
Hi kgib87,
We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so we are marking this post as Resolved for tracking purposes. If you’re still experiencing this issue, please provide the information I requested above.
Cheers,
TJ
