Hi,
I have the following problem. An error message is displayed when I try to import a .obj file with UV coordinates

Hi,
please can you give my some more details about your model? which program are you exporting from? what are your export settings in that program?
Hi I’m using 3ds max for exporting the .obj file with standard setting please see screenshot below.
https://prnt.sc/1nee10l
The model was unwrapped in 3ds max originally. I managed to solve the problem by unwrapping the model in zbrush and exporting the.obj file from there. I’m not really sure why unwrapping the model in 3ds max was an issue.
Same here. I did some mesh fixing using MeshMixer on a model exported from RC (that was unwrapped and textured in RC), after cutting away some triangles and introducing new ones (which were unwrapped automatically by MeshMixer), when importing the model back into RC to re-texture, RC through this error: “The model contains non-textured triangles. Please update the model UV coordinates and try to import the model again”.
Importing models with or without UV’s into RC was NOT a problem before version 1.2 and I think it could break a lot of people’s workflows!
There is a bug with importing corrected model from some third party soft. We are working on a solution for this.
Glad to hear 374823146340. I’m able to reproduce this issue with meshes being imported from MeshMixer. I haven’t been able to reproduce it with Blender.
I have the issues:
I created a new plane over the exported model of my Scan export form Reality capture. I want to do something like the demo you guys did with the tree-bark and make it a textured material and not an object anymore. My object is 64K and is 4x16 Textures. I can do what you showed in your video, but when I try to import the same way but with 4xUVW Maps I get an error.
What and how could I solve this?
Erro message with a 64K UVW Map
“texture coordinates of a triangle are indexed to different textures”
P.S.
One solution for the above:
If you ad or change the mesh, I also had that error above, what I did to solve that with an actual edid on the ecported model:
Run ProOptimizer over it and then discard materials while doing so.
Then I have no error.
This does not work with panes created where I want more that one texture later.
Hi Cai_ZhiYuan,
can you describe your whole process here with your steps and settings used?
