Can't get foliage to be lit properly and android ES3.1 mode

Hello!

I’m developping an app for the Quest 2 HMD. For performance, I want the lighting to be fully static. It takes place in a forest, and I am struggling with the foliage lighting, either it is fully black (with “Default” as Lightmap Type in the Static Mesh Foliage) or uniformly lit, like a sort of average (with the “Force Volumetric” option). It looks like the other meshes don’t cast shadows on the grass.

The materials are “2 sided foliage” ; the directional and sky lights have “cast shadows” checked ; the foliage has “cast shadows” (both dynamic and static) checked too ; and I’m not using the Forward Renderer.

This is just a test level to reduce building times :

Maybe there are other things I did wrong, but I’m not sure.
Thanks a lot in advance, I have spent days tinkering with the settings here, to no avail.

Hey, how did you get the foliage to cast Static Shadows? I am making a game for mobile and used foliage painter to make a forest but that foliage doesn’t cast any static shadows. Only dynamic shadows are cast, regardless of the directional light’s status. Is there any project setting that I need to change to get static shadows from Foliage? Please tell me how to do it.
Thank you.
