Cant get any of my animation sequences to work

Hello, im very new to this so bear with me. I have a bunch of animation sequences that I am trying to put into my animation blueprint. The character I am using is just a basic swat guy from Maximo. I have followed a tutorial online for setting up up the blueprint, configuring the state machine etc. I go to input my animation sequence and when I compile it, it just breaks the character. It stays in a T pose but the head turns a little and thats it.

I did notice that when I change the skeleton from the UE4 Mannequin skeleton(default when I imported from UE marketplace, but compatible with UE5) to my swat guys skeleton, the array elements under Resampled Animation Track Data suddenly only shows 1, and its the head.

The only animation sequence that works is one I got from Mixamo. Is it possible for me to change something with my current animation sequences to work with my current characters skeleton? or any idea what im doing wrong? Thanks!

Honestly from your description I doubt you will find anyone pointing out what is wrong.

Most of these issues are related on you trying to prepare a complex system on top of an already complex system that you are not familiar with. Chances you get it right are small.

When learning try simplifying as much as possible.

So first use the default assets that unreal comes with, the basic mannequin and the animations included to create what you want. At least you can be sure that the elements you are using works.

once you got that working you can then use the knowledge to fix the issue you have.

the mixamo skeleton have some quirks when imported in unreal, you can search youtube about it.
