So, I was trying to edit a copy of a default quinn animation, but the sequencer wouldn’t load in the animation window. Instead, I forced it to open using “Edit in sequencer”, but it appeared docked to the main viewport. I then tried to fix this by resetting to the default layout, but this reliably crashes the engine.
Copilot has been working with me on this and helped me delete some supposedly corrupted layout files, since apparently this is a known issue. That didn’t work though and I feel I have come to the end of copilot’s usefulness. Is there a simple workaround I just don’t know about to get the sequencer back to the animation tab? I just want to work on my animation. I have already tried dragging the sequencer over with the mouse, and it will not dock there. Should I try reinstalling UE5… again?
Edit: I did verify the installation with Epic Games Launcher and that did not work, the problem persists. I don’t know how I can edit this animation with the sequencer.
