Can't find file for asset error in ADK

Every time I play a level in the ADK I get assets that can’t find the file for it. Is there a fix for this or did I delete files accidentally?

Well, I can definitely say that this does happen completely at random and you are probably not at fault.
The problem is that these errors can appear at random, but once they do, they never go away until you verify the DevKit. In fact, you sometimes get these errors on a clean install (right after verifying and w/o doing anything to it).
The good news is, they do not get in the way most of the time. Sometimes they cause it to crash when doing anything with any of the mentioned files though.

You get them as soon as you start with your own TC. They always appear when I open one of my maps. I guess its worth forwarding this to Wildcard. But besides that, there is nothing we can do.

Possibly relevant, but the connection is still beyond odd. I started getting an error for ballista_projectile while adding alternative dino variants and remapping them. I also commonly get errors for metal_ceilings without ever touching them or any related classes.

My DevKit within the last hour or so seemingly screwed up every PrimalGameData that existed because of a “buffercount” or some such error relating to Mounted Turrets… I only have wall and ceiling mods in my devkit at the moment. Any attempt to open, right click or anything on a GameData file and it fatal errors. :expressionless:

It’s stupidly annoying.

I get these on every start up, the files are there and you can view them by clicking on them. Best to just ignore and clear.

Verifying seem to have fixed my problem. By the way, what does the verify feature do exactly?

It resets all files supplied with the DevKit to their default state (anything that you didn’t add to new folders under “Mods”), saving anything that was edited into a “backup” folder.
