It seemed like TwinMotion can do absolutely anything, until I started using it in a real life situation. In the Northeast US, a common part of our landscaping, is creating mulched flowerbeds. There seem to be no tools to do this. I used the terrain tool to sculpt and raise portions of my landscape (mounds) but then when I go to paint that area, mulch is not allowed. I see mulch as a material, but does that mean I need to create a 3D model of my mulching beds? I have been unable to find paintable mulch. I have been unable to find brush and undergrowth that fills in beneath the trees here in New England. If I download these from Quixel or SketchFab, they are groups and cannot be individualized or manipulated easily. How do I create the simple mulch bed (attached photo). Which occurs on every commercial building I have ever seen. Help!!
Use TERRAIN or Landscape and select PAINT Terrain , not Sculpt.
Have you tried dragging the Woodchips 1 material from the TM library on to one of the four materials shown when you Paint the landscape. You can also download a Quixel Megascans Mulch Material and then apply it to a temporary primitive object placed in your scene. Adjust any material parameters and then save the material to your User Library.
Delete the primitive you just added and grab your Megascans Mulch Material from your User Library and drop it on to one of the material squares in Paint Terrain. You can adjust opacity and material scale here too.
You can paint before or after you sculpt ( Usually it’s a combo for me )
Hopefully this helps.
