I’ve exported a model from blender using the USD import method. Unfortunately now I’m unable to edit the UV’s of the model. I made sure that I deselected UV’s when I imported. Why am I unable to edit the UV’s and what might I be able to do about it?
Hey there @Greefster3! Welcome to the community! Where is the point of failure? Is the UV editor able to be selected in modeling mode at all? If so, are you able to AutoUV the mesh as a starting point?
Since the UV editor is still in beta, it’s bound to have bugs. Your feedback definitely helps avoid these in the future!
Thanks for the reply! I didn’t know the UV editor was in beta. The strange part is I have full access to all other UV functionality like Auto UV and Unwrap and all that in modeling mode, but just not the UV editor itself. The button is just grayed out. Very strange.
The entire modeling toolkit is technically in beta, but most of it is perfectly fine. It could be that with no UVs written to the mesh it doesn’t have the ability to open. Does it work for other meshes or those that have been AutoUV’d in engine?
