can't download unreal engine (all versions)

I’m on mac os x catalina and I can’t download unreal engine through the Epic games launcher. It says error MD-DL “impossible to download installation information, please retry”
I have internet up and running, it seems the server is down but the status page says it’s OK.

Am I wrong with something?
