Jesus. ■■■■■■■. Christ. This is the fourth time I tried posting this bug issue, and I couldn’t because the UE website is bugged!!! This is horrifying that I bet on learning UE5 and it’s this big of a failure so far.
All I’m trying to do is simply even get started on learning, I can’t even do that!!! So f’n frustrating, I Posted this already but I’m not seeing it show up in the issues feed, of course. Can a staff member please send me the Stack O Bot project files so I can at least get started on learning? There’s very few full courses so I need to follow the stack O Bot learning path.
This is the worst experience of any software I’ve ever used in my entire life.
Update: after uninstalling an reinstalling UE5, the “Samples” page of the Epic platform suddenly became populated with way more content, including the Stack O Bot, so I guess that seems to have resolved that so far.
But, the only reason I uninstalled is because of yet another glitch: UE5 refused to let me set the control parent of a bone of a modular rig.
Also running into this issue, I’ve tried Unreal 5.4 as well as 5.3 but it seems that I cannot download Stack O Bot from the Fab plugin on my Unreal project.
I see a notification that says “Download Stack O Bot” in the lower left corner, but that notification disappears instantly and I don’t see any new content available in my Content Drawer section.
Anyone run into this before? Or am I doing something wrong? TY for any help
Running into this right now while trying to start the GDC 2025 Crash Course for Making an Animation. Such a bummer. Would really love to go through it.
@Arodi007 Any chance you could put it back up on MEGA for another couple of days?
Actually, I just got it to show up in my launcher, @Syntaf. YMMV, but the steps I took before it finally showed up were:
Created a new blank project, and opened it in the editor
Uninstalled the Fab plugin and restarted the editor
Installed the Fab plugin and restarted the editor
Opened Window → Fab inside the Plugins window
Searched for Stack-O-Bot there and clicked on “Add to My Library”
Note: I did this originally on the Fab website, and ran into the issue of it not showing up
Closed the launcher and fully exited it by clicking on the ^ in the bottom right on my Windows taskbar and then right-click → Exit
Restarted the launcher and suddenly StackOBot was showing up!
I’m not sure if all of these steps are necessary. I can tell you that now I can’t find StackOBot doing the exact same thing, so I don’t know what’s going on. Maybe the CDN is having issues serving it up consistently? But worth a shot!
