Can't determine collision with walls/floors

Hi all,
Looked at some examples and videos, maybe not enough, but I can’t figure out how to determine if an actor has hit a wall or the floor, or another actor. I’m simply trying to make a sound when it does (like a wood box). If someone could point me to an example, that would be great. Thanks.

If you’re using a character movement component, you could try adding the “Landed” event, which will fire when the character lands on a walkable surface after falling or jumping.

You can also run a trace down from the character to see what they are hitting, this example here has a trace forward and down to determine if the player is hitting a wall or the floor or is in the air.

You should be able to use the ‘Receive Hit’ event.
