Can't delete ghost sublevels

Exact same issue as this post:

138588-1.png

Only thing I did was rename the sublevels from content browser.

How do I delete those broken sublevels?

Just happened the same to me and I couldn’t package for the same reason.

I solved it deleting the file (even if it doesn’t appear inside the content browser) in the explorer/finder. After that open the project again and it will be displayed in red.

Then right click on it and “Remove Selected Level”.
My problem was solved with that.

Hope it helps!

Hey l46kok,

I tested this on my end by adding a few sublevels and renaming them, but I didn’t see the same issue.

If you’re able to determine a repro case that I can follow in a clean project, feel free to leave a comment to reopen this thread.

Have a great day!

Hello, strangely we issued the same problem here in 4.19
It occurred when we moved one of our levels into a new folder.
We even made our typical fix redirectors in folders routine but
after we restarted the editor, all our sublevels were greyed out
and missing. We loaded them back into the Level but as you
can see on the picture, there are still some undeleteable ghost-
sublevels. We’re pretty nervous here that this will cause build
issues in the near future.

Question at EPIC Engineers:

Is there some external ini file, were we could look into and fix
these problems on our own?

Make sure to close the editor first after you have removed the missing sub level as @BaboonLab (really saving the level correctly). Continuing might result in another editor crash.
