Unreal 5.5.4. While resolving a previous bug related to Visual Studio not being able to build the project code (a plugin issue that I didn’t understand), I ended up removing the Fab UE plugin from the engine, assuming I could add it back later. Now, the plugin is nowhere to be found. The engine only gives me the “Open Marketplace” option, and in the Epic launcher and in browser my Fab library doesn’t show that a Fab plugin even exists, either by scrolling through or searching. I looked for fixes but they generally relied on being able to go to the Fab plugin in your library and add it. My next guess would be to reinstall the engine itself, but I’m hoping there’s another option before I try that.
Hello there @TheBestTomo!
A very similar scenario took place in the another thread, as reference:
At that moment, the problem was caused by an issue from the engine itself, and it was promptly fixed. There’s currently no reports of any FAB related issue, thus the best course of action at this point would be to reinstall the engine, which will restore the missing FAB plugin.
After the reinstall is complete, refresh your FAB folder, and your items should be restored.
