Cannot uninstall BETA 1.0 version

Hi,

I have on my computer the Reality Capture BETA 1.0 for Windows v1.0.2.3008

I am trying to uninstall this version without success. I keep getting the following error: “The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.”

In the same error window, it also says: “Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package '20170911-667-2A9FCB01-00D4-4AAD-88F1-5FEB11127983 in the box below”

It is important to mention that I have a stable internet connection. Also, I cannot locate the above-mentioned file and clicking ok does not help to finish the process.

I cannot uninstall the product.

Can you please assist me?

hello, this is a very old build of RealityCapture, is this a Steam license?

how are you going about the uninstallation?

I actually bought a new license to use but when I open the application, it says I have to update to a newer version:

 

I tried clicking the link “here” and got the following message:

It is important to mention that I don’t have any connection issues (the internet is working smoothly).

I tried uninstalling the current version via Windows >  Control Panel > Programs and features, but I get the following error:

When I click “ok”, I get the following message:

 I tried downloading a newer demo version from your website and install it, but I get the same error.

 

It seems as if this older version of Reality Capture refuses to uninstall itself.

In response to your question, I don’t believe it is a steam license (I am not even sure what means, but I never had steam installed on this computer).

I would appreciate any assistance, since I purchased a new license and I cannot use it.

Forget uninstallation for a while, please log in to your CR account to which the bought valid license is assigned to (https://www.capturingreality.com/My), download, try to install the current build 4987 (‘RealityCapture version 1.0.3.4987 RC‘, not the Demo) and activate the license (online) on its run.

I downloaded build 4987 and tried to install it, but got the same error:

It also said that it cannot remove the older version:

What else can I try?

Hello Beni,

Please try some other external software (uninstaller) for old RealityCapture removal and registry cleaning.

When successful, after restarting computer please try installing newest version of RealityCapture.
