I am recording from via iClone via Live Link and Take Recorder. Take Recorder has an option to keep root motion in the animation but no matter what I do, Take Recorder always produces a transform track. I had hoped to export a character animation to Houdini to use the character to drive a cloth animation.
Unreal does not provide a way to conveniently export the transform data. As I wasn’t able to find a working answer, I wrote a Jupyter notebook instead to convert the Transform track from the clip board into a Houdini transform node; see this post.
Is there a better way?
