This is my first time using UE4 and I am having trouble with assigning material to the imported static mesh (which I imported via datasmith plugin)
My workflow is as follows:
- I created a simple plane in 3DS Max, and modify it as needed
- I exported it to datasmith format
- Went to UE4 and import it using datasmith plugin,
- I wanted to add ground material to the plane (I downloaded the material via Quixel Bridge)
Even after assigning the material, the plane’s texture does not change. It still shows a grey checker maps (image below).
Then I tried putting a simple geometry from UE4 and put the same material on it. It immediately changed to that ground material.
Do I miss something in the process?
I tried searching for the solutions through many websites but people seems do not have the same problem.
