Just using common ui does not cause errors. 5.4 packs projects no problem.

Ok, so here’s what happened: I learned that most plugins could stop games from packaging, so what I did before enabling the common UI plugin was package my game first. It worked alright, and then after enabling it, it gave me a build error, so I disabled it and tried packaging again. Your errors do not mention common ui.
I’m guessing but looking at the errors and similar ones that resemble them on the forum.
I would think that rather related to your MSVC. You probably have a later version installed that is no longer compatible with 5.3 as it is too new.

Not exactly visual studio, but MSVC => the compiler that interprets the code.
Different versions understand the code in different ways, usually having more functions or sometimes more restrictive operations.
If there is a mismatch in compiler version => to the one that unreal engine uses (in your case 5.3) it’s like a translator wouldn’t understand a dialect and can lead to translation errors (in this case into machine code).
So if the instructions go wrong the compile fails.
If you have visual studio 2022 then that is enough, just try changing the compiler version.
TLDR: The engine version and visual studio compiler need to be in sync for it to work.
Made a quick project in 5.3 with the common ui plugin.
Game compiles no problem. During the start of the compile unreal spits out the following information:
Using Visual Studio 2022 14.36.32548 toolchain (D:\Programy\Visual Studio 2022\VC\Tools\MSVC\14.36.32532) and Windows 10.0.26100.0 SDK (D:\Windows Kits\10).
So you can see the version it uses MSVC 14.36.32532.

No reinstalling would be overkill
Try enforcing vs 2022 toolchain first
Then try running your visual studio installer => modify =>individual components and search “14.36” and check if you have MSVC 14.36
installed.
If it’s not there then you need to install it from the installer, find it just make sure it’s x64/x86 and not arm). Then click it’s checkbox and install it.
