Cannot install Reality Capture 1.2 in Windows 11

Hello all,

Trying to install the app but it always returns an error “installer stopped prematurely” before it start installing… Deactivated antivirus and firewall and also tried to restart… 

Does anyone seen this issue?

Which version are you trying to install?

Hi,

The version is “RealityCapture-1.2.0.17385-Tarasque.msi”

I’ve tried all workarounds in the link but nothing worked… Its strange because I’ve already installed several other aplications with no issues (but all of them were .exe and not .msi).

Another thing that is strange. Each time I try to install this app and the error appears it stops the windows installer service from windows…

Have you had installed RealityCapture before? Did you downloaded that MSI from our site?

No… its the first time. And yes, I’ve downloaded from the official site.

Hi all,

Just found the issue. For some reason in Windows 11 only .NET Framework 4.8 is completely installed.

I needed to installed .NET Framework 3.5 and it worked.
