I downloaded and installed the Epic Launcher. Then I clicked on the green DOWNLOAD tab in the upper right corner. That takes me to the Download Instructions page. However, there is no link to actually D/L UE5. I’ve been running around in circles with the same result. What the “How To Install” video shows is not what I see on my end.
So a link is broken, changed and not updated, or not specified in clear English.
I’m a gamer, not a dev, so I don’t need to rub elbows with the code monkeys.
Can you show a pic of what the launcher looks like?
Hey @OldComputerDude! Welcome to the Forums!
If you want to install the UE5 editor, you need to hit the Unreal Engine on the left, then the Library tab on the top. then the “+” button. From there you would select your engine version (5.0, 5.1, 5.2). Otherwise, as @ClockworkOcean stated, we would need a screenshot of your launcher and what you are trying to download.
I hope the above is the solution you need.
Hey @OldComputerDude!
Checking in, was the above the solution you were looking for?
Hello @Quetzalcodename
Related question, please. Epic Games Launcher.app rarely shows all of the available sub-versions : 5.2.0, 5.2.1, etc. Currently, as of 10 August, Epic Games Launcher.app is pushing 5.3.0. 5.2.XX is no longer an option!
Question: Do you know how to install earlier versions, after they no longer
appear in Epic Games Launcher.app?
I’ve downloaded the source code for 5.2.0 from GitHub, but I don’t know how to compile from this source code to Mac compatible UnrealEditor 5.2.0. I’m running Epic Games Launcher.app on the newest Macbook Pro. ARM processor
Thanks for any tips you may have
