cannot change socket on inherited components ue5 (springarm)

i wanna add a spring arm to the head but i dont do anything mabye sameone can help

You can use the “+Add” Button above your hierarchy there to just add another springarm. The inherited one can just be ignored, after that. :slight_smile: Pretty typical to do so with any of the components, don’t worry! Worry about it when you’re ready to ship and may need to edit it in C++ to remove the old springarm for the INCREDIBLY SMALL footprint. :slight_smile:

If you want it directly attached to the head:
make the Mesh its parent, open the skeletal mesh and add a socket on the head, save the skeletal mesh, then finally change the parent socket here. :slight_smile:
