I’m attempting to add multiple animations to Montage to then section them up.
Using the AnimStarterPack animations, I was able to add FireShotgun and ReloadShotgun anims to Montage just fine, but if I start another Montage and add FireRifle, it will not let me add any more animations to the timeline after that and is giving me no error or feedback about it.
Any idea why it lets me add certain animations and then is blocking me from adding certain others?
I figure it must have something to do with maybe it thinks those animations aren’t compatible in some way but the editor isn’t telling me.
Trying to investigate this a bit on my own.
If I open the Output Log window, every time I try to start dragging the ReloadRifle animation over to the Montage timeline, it puts up this warning each time:
LogRHI:Warning: OpenGL debug output extension not supported!
This is on a Mac. I read some previous posts related to the message saying it was a bug fixed on Windows by Microsoft, but this is Mac.
Not sure how it’s related other than it looks like it’s trying to report a message but then pooping on yet another problem where it cannot even show me the message it wants to?
It’s definitely some issue with just the Fire_Rifle_Hip anim. I can combine pretty much the other animations ok. The main issue I have here is the complete lack of editor feedback not telling me why it refuses to allow me to add an animation to the Montage timeline.
If you right click on the animation added to the montage, there will be a section called “Bulk Link Actions” → Set Element To…
Choose one, after that it should let you add more than one animation
