At one point, I had linked my Epic Games account to my GitHub account and accessed the Unreal source code. Later, I removed myself from the Epic Games developer team that is required to access to source code. Now I want to access it again, but there is no way to rejoin the Epic Games developer team. How do I access the repo again without having to create throwaway alternate accounts for both Epic Games and GitHub?
Hey there @QTKO! That’s definitely an edge case that I don’t think anyone had thought of! Since the requesting access is automatic after you link your github account, you may be able to get the invitation to refire (depending how the backend is set up) if you disconnect and reconnect your Github on the site dashboard.
If that doesn’t work we may have to dig into finding out how to get the invitation event reset.

Thank you for the quick response! Disconnecting and reconnecting worked perfectly. I hope there ends up being instructions or a more intuitive way to do this for others in the future.
It’s definitely one of those situations you wouldn’t ever expect to need so I do understand why there’s no pipeline for it, but good to know the auto-invite isn’t tied to say an internal DB or anything that could stall another being sent. The good news however, is now we know, and it’s now immortalized on the forums and someone searching in the future will definitely have this solved thanks to you! Happy developing!
