Can you trigger translators/animations to happen at set times.

Currently for an animation video I need to use trigger areas for a translator to work based on camera location, rather than having a video from the outside and setting translators to go off at key points in the video.

Welcome to the forums Josh.

i don’t quite undestand what you’re asking. But you can trigger events on a level sequence.
you can add a level sequence to coordinate all your animations.

Ok so example.

I made a video of an incident that happened on a mining site.

  1. Crane picks up pipe
  2. crane rotates with pipe
  3. pipe hits a model.

(the simple version)

I can do all the movements but I can’t do one movement after another or have a 40s fly around and say at 20s, pick up pipe, 30s, rotate.

I know you have the delay function but if you only want a movement once, it does work, if i delay each one then one actions 20,40,60s, the rotate will action at 30s,60s,90s. It is all out of wack

Then, if i go to export the video, the translators play in their on time but not aligned to the recording.

use sequencer. or a timer.

In twinmotion the only way to synchronize animators is indeed to use the delay.
in the animators proprties, set play ‘once’ and set the ‘delay’ according to the scenario you plan to do.
you won’t have the feedback in the viewport, It will only work in exported videos.
During video export, the starting time is set to zero, and everyhting play accordingly
