can you report an island for copyright?
At the moment no one even understands the rules.
An island reporting system would be completely pointless.
The agreements we have signed are between us and Epic.
If Epic feels like a map infringes on our agreement,
they won’t allow it to be published in the first place.
Ok was just wondering… Found an island using the assets and actual characters from a huge, long standing gaming company. If this is allowed, I would like to know how loose our rules are. I do know however, they will not get paid for that project, as it most definitely falls under fan made rules, and fan made islands receive no monetary gain.
yes… there is a thin line between being inspired by others and completely duplicating someone else’s work
Hey @Link_X,
If an individual, company, or entity believes there is an infringement on their copyright, they are able to file a DMCA notice with our legal department following the guidelines outlined on the Reporting Infringement page.
I hope this helps and answers your question!
