Can you permanently change anchors for a set brush?

if you cant, then why is it not a thing?

as a new user my problem is that the anchor is always in the geometric center, which makes the “edges” of the mesh not line up with the snapping grid. like a box that is 270cm3, has its edges 135cm from its coordinate, so another box 260cm3 snapped to the 10 cm grid will ether clip 5cm or leave a 5 cm gap, which you then have to fine tune. not much of a problem right? now make one of the objects 3.3333cm, so now you need to fine tune down to the fifth decimal for every object and every axis, and thats when the headache starts.

best solutions would be just to be able to move the anchor to the vertices, edge, or to a set manual coordinate.

in my case i just want to make a basic house just to start learning how to use the editor. if i make a floor and then a wall and i already have to abandon the snapping grid on the second placement something is wrong.

Yes, you can. If you click on the center of the transition widget (the white sphere) with the middle mouse button, you can move the pivot If you hold V while doing it it will snap to vertices. You can then make the change permanent by right clicking the actor, going into Pivot and selecting “set pivot offset” (or something like that), so it will remain even if you deselect the actor.
