Can you export animations from unreal to maya

To put it shortly Maya bugged out on me and somehow deleted my animation fileds for Maya. My animations are still in my unreal project so is there any way I can export them back into maya and save them as maya files or will I just have to redo them?

You would likely be better off re-doing them, but you can always export the FBX file that contains the animation along with a preview mesh.
Not sure how you would put it back onto your Rig on Maya though.

That kind of sucks. Oh well, thanks for the response anyway.

Just in case someone runs into this down the road… you can transfer animation data to Maya and then back to Unreal. If you export the bones from UE to Maya, you can parent constraint your UE bones back to the Maya rig or vice versa. Found it out here: WORKFLOW: Export animation from UE and edit in Blender
