Can you adjust animations at runtime

I’m pretty new to animations in Ue4, and I’m wondering if there is any way to adjust an animation at runtime?

What I mean is… Imagine an animation of a baseball player diving to his left to catch a ball. Sometimes the ball might be a little bit higher or a little bit lower than the players glove… Is there any way to adjust the bones of the character to account for this, so that the dive animation stays the same, but the position of the arm changes to meet the ball?
