Can we not add a setting to the save device

So like a switch would have a mutual exclusivity setting, could we not add something similar to the save device, when set from default you may lose some data such as player location, but would allow another map by the same creator to use another save device with a matching exclusivity to then allow the loading of certain persistence data such as the new stats , stat creators would need have have an option to save and load a created stat type by the creator (like how you may load a level loader device) but data such as this, loadouts, resources been able to be linked to a new map would open doors for many linking there worlds together as they see fit.
