Hello,
Is it possible to import a 3ds 2015 fbx complete model of a house that’s about 5,000. sq ft and be ready to apply materials to it for rendering?
Thanks,

As you are abel to import meshes with >64k vertices into the engine, it shouldnt be a problem to import your house. You just have to make sure that you uv map your mesh + that you have material slots for the different parts (e.g 1 material slot for the window glass texture).
You will probably get some performance problems, but this depends on the draw calls + the tri count + the lightning. So you might have to split up the building when you get fps problems.
Thanks! Good to know that it should work before I check it out!
You can import it , it may or may not cause perfomance problems but for sure it will have lighting problems since it’s going to have only 1 lightmap ( if the house you are talking about has interior modeled also)
Thanks Robbie222! Plan to try this very soon and see how it goes? Now I won’t wast time wondering about interior lights not coming through correctly!
