Can the roadmap help my store page accommodate various styles, designs and colours?

I make models of one kind, but it goes without saying that what I’d like to see happen would be of benefit to many.

In my case I design and create handbags. As any woman knows there are a variety of styles and designs, from crossbody to tote and many others. To my point…

Each bag I create I post on Artstation. On Artstation I can move the images I post. I can dictate the order they are seen in. But I don’t even have that simple way to order how my bags are seen on Fab.

Ideally what I REALLY need is not only to be able to create the order my models are seen in, but also arrange them into the various styles. Of course each style of bag, eg Tote, can have an array of designs within that style. And each design within a style can have multiple colours and materials. As I move forward with my designs I plan to have an array of colours and materials for each design of bag I sell on Fab. But having one design in an array of colours/materials is too much to put on one page, so for the time being I can’t have the array of colours/materials I want to make available for sale.
I really need to be able to group them into their style/design/material/colour, maybe on a separate page.

I get this is a lot to ask but for someone out to buy a set bag in a set style and set colour, having a way to arrange my store page in such a way would benefit me greatly and of course the buyer.

I’m sure every seller with multiple models of various designs would like to be able to group them as they see fit.

In the meantime…just a way to arrange my store page would be good.

Thanks.

Sorry to bump this thread but I really would like to hear back from staff.
I’d like to know if some/any of which I really need to be implemented can be.
I have to make plans as to how I evolve my store and of course this dictates what I create, including the styles, materials and colours.

At the moment I fail to see how I can evolve/progress my store and the sales I hope to make as it stands.

Thanks for any reply.

Cough…still hoping for a reply :no_mouth:

Yep, still hoping for a reply…just to the above will do.
Surely, at the very least, arranging my store front and how my models appear in it, isn’t too much to ask?

I would hazard a guess that every store owner would like this function.

I await a staff answer with interest.

Thanks.

It wasn’t an option on sketchfab or unreal marketplace, so it’s unlikely. Maybe they will add some feature to bundle the products or something similar. Collections might be closest thing you will get to this.

To be truthful I suppose I was hoping for too much! You know…an all singing and dancing modern looking store ready for the future…instead of some done to death boring store that all you can do is fill with as much as possible on one page…a bit like a boot sale/yard sale…where everything is thrown on a heap and you have to wade through everything hoping to find something you like.

It will be SO disappointing if that’s how Fab is going to roll :disappointed:.
I’m still hoping, with everything crossed, that a staff member will tell me I’m wrong and it will indeed be a store fit for purpose and not a big messy heap.

I’ve had a look at my listing page and can’t see what you mean. I assume it’s not there and is somewhere else, because let’s face it, there’s not much to the listing page is there?

I’m referring to the roadmap here: Epic Developer Community | Fab Roadmap. It says they plan to add collections, I’m just not sure about the details. It might just allow to sort your library and not the store page.

Well, if that’s all it will do, then I suppose I’ll have to continue with my plan B. Open my own store where I can display all the models I plan to create in the way I want to. It’s not my preferred option, but an unorganised page of a store will be just that!

Hi there. Sorry I missed this a couple of weeks ago. I’ll share that feedback with the team. So I get it right, you’re interested in the ability to organize your storefront:

  • Determine the order that products appear on the page
  • Create groups of products (like folders? or collections?) Would the purpose of this be to group similar products or to sell a number of products as one bundled product?

Thanks for the reply, it’s appreciated.

So, yes, it would be a group to sell similar products, not bundles.

Giving buyers a choice to buy a particular bag in a variety of colours and materials.
Giving buyers a way to filter bags into styles…tote, crossbody, shoulder, etc.

If the above could be done then the order they appear wouldn’t be so important.
My thinking was…I have rows of four bags on my store page, I can put one bag/style in a row followed by three others next to it in other colours/materials.

Looking forward to seeing what can be done.

Cool - thanks for that detail. I’ll share it with the team. :+1:
