Hello,
New to Unreal Engine here. The title is self-explanatory.
I looked up previous posts remotely related to this topic and it appears this issue dates back to late 2017 (or longer if I missed it). With all these new updates, why has this issue been completely looked over for some reason?
I simply just would like an option to cut/slice an object directly in half without jumping through hoops. Under the Modeling Mode tab, how hard is it to place, maybe under Xform or Modeling, Cut In Half? Boom! Done. But no, there is a Split but it doesn’t give the option to split an single mesh object in half. Tried using Plane cut, because maybe it’ll work, right? … It did not. I mean, it did cut my object in half. However, it also cut objects that were not selected in half as well, and it made one half of the cut disappear. I want to keep both halves. Oh look, there is a Mesh Cut. Yes. What? Split one mesh using a second mesh. … WHY?! Why has a simple action as to, cut an object in half, is made so stinking difficult to accomplish?! I shouldn’t have to do three to five steps just to cut something into equal halves.
(Sigh)
So I ask the developers, please make life simpler and add a simple tab to Cut in Half for any mesh (single or multiple). Please!
Thank you,
