Hi
I’ve just starting using unreal having worked in animation for more than 10 years (Maya and blender).
This is probably because I’m new to this and I don’t fully understand all UE4s little quirks but it does seem as if the light builds in unreal are unstable.
For example, I was lighting an interior scene with a sun light coming in through the windows. I added some additional lights in the interior (all lights are static) and when I built the scene the sunlight stopped casting shadows. No matter what I did it wouldn’t work. I deleted all the interior lights and it still didn’t work. I opened the scene again this morning, hit build with all the lights back, and suddenly it started working again.
Is this just unreal being weird or do think I’m overlooking something obvious?
Any help would be greatly appreciated but I do understand that without being able to see the scene it would be hard to give any specific advice,
Thanks
