Can’t Bake to Control Rig for MetaHuman created via Identity Conform (UE 5.6)

Hi,

In Unreal Engine 5.6, when I create a MetaHuman using MetaHuman Identity > Conform > Assemble, the resulting character does not let me bake to Control Rig, even when I export a clean animation (with correct skeleton) from MetaHuman Animator.

The usual “Bake to Control Rig” menu is missing and shows only a FK rig. No full Control Rig appears. All necessary plugins are enabled.

If I first import a MetaHuman directly from Quixel, everything works fine — baking to the Control Rig is possible as expected. But after using the Conform workflow, something breaks: I also get a warning about overwriting /MetaHumans/Common/, which ends up corrupting existing MetaHumans in the project.

Is this a known bug? Or is there a proper way to bake animations to a Control Rig for a MetaHuman generated from Identity?

Thanks!

Hi, did you manage to solve it? I´m having the same problem

Has this been solved? I’m also having the same problem.

Hello! Try to turn off mark on “Filter By Skeleton” right above from “Bake to Control Rig”. Seems like its bug so now you have full list of those Rigs, but you can easily find metahuman rig.

Thank you, it worked! This must be a simple filtering bug but unfortunately UE5.6.1 still have this bug.
