I am trying to upgrade my projects to 4.20 in the usual way by right clicking the project file and choseing “upgrade to 4.20”
When the tool is done the tool window closes but my project files havent changed. When I load the solution in VS, it has my old setup and the UE project points to the non existing 4.18 installation.
I used the attrib command on the whole directory tree and made sure all files and directories can be read/write, I also deleted the intermediate directory with the success that when I loaded the project afterwards, UE and my own projects showed as “failed to load”.
Luckily I was able to upgrade the same project on another machine and then copy the files over, but this is clearly some problem that should be solved.
Can anybody help with an idea here what is going wrong?
