Can not export metahuam fron UE5 to Maya

I’ve created a metahuman for UE5 and everything looks good. Now I need to export to Maya for rig and animation. So I go to my standalone Quixel bridge trying to download and export to Maya (which all online tutorials do this sway), and it shows the error:
The UAsset version of this MetaHuman is not compatible with UE4. You can download it in Bridge for UE5.
So I went to Quixel Bridge inside UE5 and found out there is no option to export metahuman, only to add to the current UE project.
Is there a way I can do that? Thanks

Hey there! I was banging my head against this problem earlier today and just found the solution, so thought I’d chime in for anyone else!

You’ll still want to be using the stand alone Quixel bridge for this process! The thing you’ll need to do to allow the asset to download:

Click into your download settings on your metahuman

Then, swap over to the models tab, where you’ll want to make sure it’s set to download uassets AND source assets – the source assets is the key change here. You might be able to change this to JUST download the source assets, but I’m not sure.

I was editing this in my export settings and not in my download settings, which is where my confusion came in this process. Once you change it in the download settings, though, you should be good to go!

Not sure about the steps for then getting these edited assets into UE5 from here, but this solved my ‘oh god can I not get these UE5 metahumans to maya?’ problem. Hope this helps!
