Can my university distribute my project further? (free student version of UE4))

Hi,
I am a student and I would like to create 3D virtual tourist guide for my city in Unreal Engine 4 (student version) as part of my master thesis in informatics.

My university plans to give this guide after I finish it to my city for free.

My question is if this is possible for my university with standard free student license version of UE4.

If it’s free, there’s no problem.

Hi MichalT,

It is perfectly fine to do that. As long as you are not making a profit at all, then you do not have to pay any royalties as well. Please let us know how it goes, sounds like a fun project.
