Can I use Timeline Node to Control Montage Play Rate?

Hello,

I am trying to control montage play rate to give the player anticipation and dodge window so I tried using a timeline with a float track to control play montage play rate.

it seems the timeline finishes execution first then the play montage node plays at normal rate I connected from update output on the timeline node.

am I doing something wrong?

I don’t think it makes any sense to use a timeline for that. Have you tried MontageSetPlayRate?
