So I’m working on a racing/ car chase game and need a bunch of car models, but all I can get my hands on are licenced car models (Im not good with modeling so I can’t exactly make my own). I want to know if I can use these in my game commercialy or if I need to delete the logos off of them or even model/download completely made up cars.
I can’t give you legal advice on this one, so I’ll have to leave it to the community. It’s kind of a hotly contested topic in game law now though. A lot of companies go the safer route like GTA of using cars that are not identical but certainly reminiscent of real cars.
