Can I switch off the designation above my own guards?

I have guard spawn devices and above the heads of the allied guards it always says “Guard”…

I would like nothing to be displayed there - can this be switched off in UEFN?

You can try using the npc definition + spawner instead, there is a modifier in the character definition that allows to use a custom name

Mhhhh, what exactly do you mean? the new NPC conversation device together with an NPC spawner?

I just had a look, the NPC spawner device can’t be switched on. And I don’t think that will help me either, because the guards can perform completely different tasks (patrol, combat, etc.)… :tipping_hand_man:

Example:

Veronika is actually an npc, at some point she had a name plate at some point no plate, then I retired her. You can select guard behavior in npc character definition.

Thanks for your tip @latunda :ok_hand:

Now I realized that I still have to give the NPC spawn device the “character definition” to make the appropriate settings…

Works pretty well, thank you very much! Unfortunately, it is not possible to have the NPC guard spawn directly at the patrol point (or is it?), but I was able to do this with the help of a teleporter trigger - however, UEFN has now crashed twice when I made settings on the device (well, it’s still in early access).

@Flak What is your roadmap regarding the guard spawn devices… Will the new NPC spawn devices replace them in the future?

If not, then it would be good if you could also change the names at the guard spawn point and on the other hand, it would be good if you could also spawn directly at the patrol point on the NPC spawn device.
