Can I sell assets without having a UE4 subscription?

I read the business terms, submission guidelines and submission form of the Marketplace and forgive me if I jumped or misunderstood the answer to this question, but can I sell assets without having a UE4 subscription?

Hi Monteiro,

While you are not required to have a UE4 subscription to submit to the marketplace or have your assets sold on the marketplace, the assets must be in UE4 and you need to be available to keep content updated, so a subscription is highly recommended.
