Working with root animations, I would like to animate a character in their own space (Somewhere off the world origin) and then when importing into unreal, have the option to say at frame 0, assume the root is at 0,0,0
As far as I know root motion animations need to be at 0,0,0 at the start for them to work and there is no way to offset that on import (other than manually tweaking the transforms).
atm I do that in MotionBuilder but would very much like the option to do it in Unreal. It would save me an extra tedious step.
If there is already a way to do that in Unreal I would like to know. I am kind of surprised there isn’t considering the other advanced features.
