I’m trying to process a point cloud in .e57 format captured with a VLX mobile scanner. However, the panoramic images are bundled together, which is leading to alignment issues during image alignment.
Hello, RealityCapture currently doesn’t support the processing of mobile laser scans. We support only the processing of static terrestrial laser scans.
Is this still the latest case? I have a plethora of .e57 output from a VLX 2 that I would love to run through reality scan for meshgen.
I’m able to import registered VLX 2 point clouds and generate a mesh by telling the LIDAR import dialogue to interpret the VLX 2 mobile data as aerial with auto generated cameras.
That being said texture projection is a no go since there is no image data associated with the VLX. The equirectangular panoramas cannot align in realityscan.
Any insight one could provide on how to properly push through VLX .e57 through realityscan?
