Can I import an image to Twinmotion to use as a background?

Hi there - this demo has an image of mountains converted to an FBX file...I'm finding it incredibly difficult trying to convert png to fbx or any image file for that matter. Which software can this be done in? Why can't Twinmotion import .PNG? Applying image to texture doesn't work as it automatically wraps the surface even as a 'plane' object. I have a large panoramic photograph that I am trying to import as a background. Any help would be great, thanks!
