Yes, if you go to Edit > Project Settings > Android and scroll down you will find Enable Improved virtual keyboard. Simply disable this:

Turning off this option will use the old virtual keyboard.But I would like to use the improved version of the virtual keyboard.

You can tap 4 fingers on the screen to open up the console and try these commands to see if you get the result you are looking for:

Using caps here will not work. need to enter EG: “android.newkeyboard 0”
