Can I have root motion with root bone not at (0,0,0)?

I have a fully rigged character in 3dsMAX, done with biped where the root bone is in crotch area. I don’t know if there is a way to set the root bone to feet location; from my research there is no direct way.
Is UE4 going to support root motion where root bone is not at (0,0,0)? (the character feet are at 0 at the start of animation, it could figure root motion from there, Unity has a system that works preaty well) Is there any workaround you could suggest for me?
