Making a ragdoll character and this capsule component is making trouble. I know it is really problematic to remove or replace it, but can I at least make it much smaller (relatively)? Or disable it and use the character’s Physics Asset’s collisions instead? When I set capsule component ignore, it just passes tru everything no matter how other components of the character interacts.
Hey @NEYSE_O001!
You can indeed set it to ignore collisions. Yes, that means it will pass through other things- you generally will need it for keeping your character from falling through the ground. You should be able to set the Capsule Component to Ignore all and set your skeletal mesh’s collision channels independently, which is really all that’s necessary for ragdolling. ![]()
Can you go more into detail for what it is you’re trying to do? What problems is the capsule component causing?
I am sure it will cause more problems as I go forward with the project but for now the first thing that annoys me about it is; My character is using physics animation, wiggles around as it moves and interacts when hit around, but this capsule component is not letting me smash my character to wall so I can(t) fully experience the wonders of physics ![]()
How can I set my skeletal mesh’s collision channel independed?
Right now character’s libs etc. works and physically interacts fine, but it still passes tru when I set capsule collision ignore.
I opened a new question (topic) that is also includes this regard, if you wanna help UWU
