Can I add external dynamic elements into a html5 project at runtime (Like images, text, video etc.) using javascript etc.? In any version?

Hi,
I was wondering if it’s possible to export a project in html5, and then manipulate it using javascript etc., to add images inside the container? If you have any ideas/knowledge, or can point to resource, I would appreciate it very much.
